Merry Christmas everyone!

i was wondering, has anyone run 13.5" wide tires on stock toyota wheels? the toyota rims i have are off a 91 4runner. i think the rim is a 15x8?? will this combo be overkill? or should i just run 15x10 rims with 13.5" wide? i got 33x13.5x15 ltb's.

 

I haven't personally seen anything stock on a toyota over a 7" wide rim, but that's only what I've seen. Could be that they make an 8", but I hadn't heard of that.

Be curious to see what trucks they came on if they were offered.

Anyway, I run a 12.5 on a 7" rim. Its fine, though its obviously not ideal. But, with an 8" rim, you'd be fine, just might wear a little faster in the center.

 

i checked my rims and its a 15x7. yota4runna, i got the same wheels as the ones you have in your avatar. i think im just gonna run 15x10 because the interco website reads that the recommended rim size for 33x13.5x15 is a 15x10. i thought i could get away with running the stock rims.

 

I concur. It would cause it to bulge and thus diminishing tread life greatly. Good idea though.
