Need cruise control ID & help 3vz

Prior to my engine change the cruise worked. The guy that R&R the engine is gone and I need help making the connections.

Some one suggested that this is an aftermarket CC, I don't know.

Anyone have one like this? I will now try to attach pictures, some I don't do well.

Thanks
Harry

That looks after market. The OEM cruise control is covered in the Body Electrical section of the FSM. Page BE-91 in the on-line manual I have. Should be somewhere in that area plus or minus a page or two. The FSM has a good troubleshooting section starting BE-92 for the OEM CC, but it might have some info that could apply to an aftermarket one. Good luck,
Bugs

That looks like an old Hayes Dana (now Rostra) cruise control.

It's definitely not factory.

Seconded. It's the one I have in my truck. It's a Rostra.

Great, any chance of some pictures or a good description about where it mounts and how it attaches to the throttle. The attaching wire only has a loop on the end, so I may be missing something.

Thanks
Harry

I mounted it on the driver wheel well, between the coil and airbox with the cable going through the firewall. The "attaching end" on mine has a little nub that fits into a bracket mounted on the gas pedal. Yours sounds a bit different.

On my previous Toyota pickup (1989), the mounting was completely different. The cable pulled the throttle at the carb, just like the gas pedal cable does.

Thanks DJ99, mine also pulled where the pedal cable pulls.

I have that same set up for my cruise control. It has a loop at the end near the throttle body. Does it loop around the main throttle cable and sit right on top the main cable? No idea where else to hook it. Any Pics?

I have the same set up on mine it mounts between the coil and the clutch master cylinder. The cable runs through the fire wall and connects to the gas pedal. I did not realize it was an aftermarket setup though.
