So I decided to do the isr and my truck won't idle and puts and dies I don't know what went wrong. I put the vaccum hose and valve cover hose on it and idk wat happens but it won't idle

 

Check for air leaks between the VAFM sensor and the throttle body. These could be in the main tube, in the PCV hose, or the air hose that feeds the A/C and PS idle up. There are two hoses that come from the air cleaner and attach to pipes in the front of the intake plenum. The large one provides filtered but un-metered air to the PAIR valve. This one won't affect the engine because the VAFM doesn't take it into account. The smaller one takes filtered, metered air and feeds the idle up system. If this one isn't hooked up correctly the VAFM sensor reading will be off when the A/C or PS idle up is activated.

The ISR mod shouldn't cause any negative effects if their aren't any air leaks and the hoses are hooked up.

Check also that the VAFM sensor connector, TPS connector, and plug wires are all hooked up correctly. And any other component you moved or disturbed while you were doing the mod.

did you plug the vafm back in? also if nothing else was touched then you have a leak in ur "modded" isr tube.

Leaks.....

 

I'd say even with leaks it should run. It would just run rough. Unless it's a very very big leak. My battery/intake swap ran rough because of a bunch of melted leaks in the hose. It never stalled or quit running, it was just really floppy.

Check the old air tubes. Hooke it up so it's stock and see if it runs. Might be something wrong with the VAFM.

 

with a big enough leak it will die. it'll start as a poor/ rough idle and then die. mine did this when the isr tube got a tear in it. took me 2 hours to figure it out as it was underneath. ( truck sat for awhile)

glad it's fixed! Enjoy! the isr mod is about the best cheap mod for our trucks. I actually saw an mpg improvement as well as a bit more pep.
