Will a severly clogged, or stuck open fuel injector cause a motor to smoke like it has no rings? When I say smoke, I mean a lot of smoke!

Sometimes the smell of gas and smoke comes out of the exhaust and out from under the hood.

One second it is running rough and smoking, the next it is running pretty smooth and no smoke.

The only code I am getting is 0441.

This is on my 3RZ motor.

1 what color smoke is it 2 are you loosing any water & 3 glad to see someone else from LA if its a stuck injector it will be black smoke from too much fuel, if its white smoke it could be water or oil

 

The smoke is white, but it is not using oil or water. Now here is the deal. Sometimes it smokes, and sometimes it doesn't. The smoke coming out of the exhaust and out of the engine bay is gas.

When it is blowing smoke it is running really rough, but the next minute it is running smooth, and no smoke.

I really don't think it is a head gasket, been thru several of those situations.

 

So you said when its smoking its running bad? Sticky valves.... sticky injectors....you running old gas? You could try some injector cleaner... or sea foam in the tank....
