92 v6 think its the water pump, all the water was gone from radiator and steam was coming out from behind the front timing cover and no pressure building in top hose, so if u guys could help me out on how to change it, thanks

You need to do the timing belt at the same time. Same amount of work since the timing belt has to come off to do the water pump and a new timing belt is only around $20. Do not reuse the old timing belt since it will have had coolant on it. Here is the link that really helped me. Plan on starting on a Saturday and finishing up on Sunday. All in all not a bad job, just takes some time to pull everything off and put it back on. Lots of nuts and bolts so I would use sandwich bags and label everything as it comes off. You won't remember what is what when it's time to put it back on.

Another couple of quick hints. You will need to fashion a tool to put the crank bolt back on or some folks use a chain wrench. There are links here that show a tool that works well for the reassemble. To take the crank bolt off, I just used a socket with breaker braced against the frame and removed the coil wire and turned the engine over and let the starter motor break the bolt loose. For the top belt idler you will need to have a couple of 1/4" drive wobbler extensions to get to the 4 bolts. It's tough, but you can get to them with a little work. I would go ahead and replace all of the other belts and hoses at the same time since the cost is minimal and you have to take them off to do this job anyway. Might as well put a new thermostat in as well. I would also remove the airfilter box before you start. You will appreciate the extra space. You will also need a torque wrench that will go up to 200ft/lbs.

 

Before you tackle this job, make sure that you haven't blown a head gasket instead. Any steam coming out of the tail pipe?

 

The timing kit is around 180-200 depending on what tensioner set up you have, spring or hydraulic.

Its alot of work but its really not that bad, just takes time.
