I am looking at a 94 T100 tomorrow, and it may have a 3.0. The guy didn't know, isn't his, but have the 94's been improved? Do they still have the same head gasket problems?

He did say it had over 400,000 miles on it.

If it has a 3vze... it will need a head gasket eventually. Dont think it matters what year, just the design.

So after the head gaskets have been replaced, does that cure the weak link?
I am not diggin the idea of a V6.

If done properly, it will cure the problem for a while... maybe 2-300k... but it will eventually fail again. Its just the way these were designed.

Screw that. I hope it has a 3rz then. I hate replacing one, let alone two head gaskets, and have one fail.

It will have the 3vze if it's a '94.

Bought the truck. It had the 2.7 3RZ motor. Now to research the SAS.

I had no idea the early nineties T-100's had the 2.7 4 cylinder
I thought they were all V6's
that sounds like a good combo
pics!

I'll post them up when I get a chance. Did I mention it is 2WD.

It would be a great motor to drop off in my 85, but I think it will be easier to SAS the T100.
