so tonight i installed the 882/n91 up front and i have lc coils for the rear but they dont fit at all the length is fine but the diameter is way huge. and the bump stop dosent fit any more, it falls right through the spring. i heard that you need the front lc coils for the rear of my runner. is this true? the guy at slee off road sold me rear lc coils and im thinking i should have bought front lc coils. so right now my truck is sitting in the driveway all torn apart and im afraid to put it togher with these springs. so do i need front lc coils for the rear of my runner?

 

yes, you need the front LC80 coils for the rear of the 3rd gen 4Runner

maybe you can return it and have it replaced with the front LC80 coils

 

correct ^^^ the rear land cruiser coils are meant to lift the 2nd gen 4runners.

 

ok i will head to slee and see if they will swap them out. those springs are just way to big

 

always do the proper research before going to town on your truck, with this site there is absolutely no reason you should have been confused

 

very true millerPKA, i dont know how i could have missed it. i did a lot of searching and never recall anything about using the front springs. but now i know.

 

Slee is a reputable local shop- did they not know your application?

Certainly what you did not know they should have. Perhaps there was just mis-communication.

Hope this gets straightened out to your satisfaction, that should be an excellent combo of lift front and rear.

 

If thye won't take them back, i might take them off your hands...

I have downey's and a spacer in the rear now, might take those uneven LC's off of your hands, let me know.
