what kinds of shocks and lift kits would work best for 3rd gen Runner

Your opinion on what kinds of shocks and lift kits would work best for 3rd gen Runner. I am new to this working on car stuff and need guidence...It would help out alot if I could get some input on what worked and what didnt work for these runners...

I live in Colorado so i certainly dont plan on any desert terrain...my runner is 3rd gen, manual, 4wd....if that matters...

I need suggestions, and input on what would be a good buy...so I can save $$...

Your opinions count and they will effect what I decide...
Thank you everyone!

Try searching. There are a ton of threads with lots of great information. In addition to toytec you could check out Sonoran Steel or Wabfab they all sell great products. Also for Toytec I believe Scotty C at Addicted Offroad is a dealer and I think he is in Colorado. I hope this helps.

She posted in the Newbie Tech section so cut her some slack.

That said, Sonoran Steel provides some great lifts, but they can be pricey

http://www.sonoransteel.com/store_co..._liftkits.html

You can go with OME which is a good, all spring lift for around $800

http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/ome4runner.htm

Other than that, a number of companies offer spacer lifts, such as Toytec, daystar, and Revtek, but some have reported a rougher ride

Good luck choosing, there are too many options to choose from

Sam,

I know this is a research thread. And kudo's to you for researching. But in the interest of not getting a ton of suggestions that might overwhelm you, since I know your truck, I've seen you wheel, I can kinda guess your budget (based on the other stuff you have bought) I really do think the best bet for you is ToyTec.

If anything, go swing by their shop sometime next week and just talk to them. (Darrick should be there - he can talk ya through stuff). They can educate you on what parts are what and how different kits work. Even if you don't buy Toytec they would be a great resource to go visit so you can then make an even more informed decision.

They are located around 104th and 1-25 BTW.

I hope that helps. And remember, it's just my opinion. Not my fact. -McMols

man theres NEVER any girls around these parts that like to go wheeling in their OWN vehicle..

all the girls around here are too scared to do anything in their own truck hahaha..

but it is nice..when they are ALL ABOUT full size trucks (chevy or ford mainly) and then i have to pull out their boyfriends full size because he was being stupid..

GAWD I LOVE MY TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
