What do you call this part?

The black "boot" where the antenna meets the body. My antenna broke and I was replacing it and I really think that my dog took it. i cannot find it and I don't know what to look for on the internet to find it. All of this just for radio. It this breaks again, I am doing the Tacoma whip antenna mod instead.

First, make sure your dog doesn't change his/her eating habits. Not hungry/vomiting = trip to the vet. Unless the part gets thrown up of course

Second, either the nut or the 'ornament.' My guess is the latter of the two. This is for a 2002 4Runner so you may want to go to the homepage and put in your 4Runner in case there are different part numbers

I would try to find a local wrecking yard and just get the part you need, should not be too difficult to replace the "antenna widget". According to my factory service manual the part you are referring to is called the "ornament". On page BE102 which is for antenna removal step 2 says " Remove antenna nut and ornament." Enjoy!

I have the rubber bushing from my 95 4runner auto antenna. I switched to the whip antenna. You can have it for shipping if it works for you. PM me if you want it.
