the red and white will go to you dash lights..it is what gives it light..look online for some instructions and it will tell you where you need to put em..

the green wire is the RPM signal..you could just tap into the tach plug that is on your coil..if its wired for a tach..

i just installed a sunpro super tach in my 94 single cab std. bed. the black ground i connected to an already established ground behind the drivers side kick panel, the red power also went behind the kick panel but into the fuse block this time. the green signal wire i spliced into the black coil wire. and the white light wire i also plugged into the fuse block as a constant on because i had issues with connecting mine to the dimmer switch then i screwed into the steering column shroud and hung the tach on top and to the left a little bit

so i have a 1992 and it has an aftermarket tach gauge and it doesn't workit's not new and hasn't worked since i got the truck (two years ago) and i have been working on it and decided i want that tach to work so i checked all wiring and it lights up but the guage wouldnt move at all. so i tried checking some things and still nothing so i took it out. now im wondering how often do they stop working or what was the problem ??... it was wired exactly how you all have explained on the board.. my new idea's are to buy a new sr5 cluster for 1992 or a new aftermarket tach not sure yet but any advice would be nice

i am installing an autogauge tach in my 86 yota, and i have the red to 12v switched, green to the msd tach terminal, and the black to ground.

i tapped the white into what i thaught was the dimmed dash lights, but when the dimmer is off, the cluster and tach are on dim, and when the dimmer is full, thhe cluster is full, but the tach is off?

where should i tap the white wire in so that it will properly dim with my factory cluster?
