ive flushed my radiator countless times and yet i cant get rid of this rust (or what appears to be) i dont know if the previous owner of this truck filled it up with hose water at some point, but it wont go away.. any suggestions on how i should handle this? i should add that the interals dont appear to be rust from what i can see on the top but i cant see very far.

 

have you tired the anti-rust stuff that prestone makes as a additive? it is like $5 if i remember correctly. seemed to help my 80.

or going to a radiator shop have having a power flush done. which is i guess is basically the same thing except its done with a machine.. even if i did put a new rad that wouldnt remove the deposits from the block passages and lines and id end up with the same thing all over again eventually.
