Hey guys,

every so often when shifting from reverse to drive, i hear a loud "clunk". Nothing feels wrong, and it sounds fine afterwards, but what could be the reason that the truck is making this noise?

How's your ATF? Do you have a lot of play in your driveshaft cvs? I take it you're coming to a full stop in between D & R right?

 

well since hearing the noise i have been coming to a full stop. It has been getting better lately, but thanks for reminding me about the fluid. I need to have it checked.

 

Could be in trans, driveline or rear diff. . .got leaks?
check your fluids, grease your u-joints.
