Alignment after BJ spacer install

Got the 4Runner aligned today, after installing 1.5" BJ spacers, new ball joints, a diff drop kit, a Total Chaos Idler Arm, and 33x10.5x15's on 15x8 wheels with 4.5" of backspacing.

I went to a place here in Santa Rosa that does a lot of lift kit installs, Mclea's Tire. The tech was very knowledgeable and called it a "leveling" kit. He warned me ahead of time that it might run out of camber adjustment range and that he would call me back when he found out. He said he has done a few of them with this type of "kit".

In the end he was able to get the camber and toe to spec, but had to max out the cam bolts to get the camber in and could not get the caster to spec.

Numbers below:

Left front: Camber: 0.0 degrees, Caster: 1.8 degrees, Toe: .14 degrees

Right front: Camber: 0.2 degrees, Caster: 1.9 degrees, Toe: .13 degrees

He indicated that the caster should be something like 4 degrees and that it might track cracks in the road with about 1/2 the caster angle it is specified to have.

I drove it up and down the freeway through construction zones and heavily grooved pavement, no issues. Tracks dead straight, does not pull either way, self centers just fine, and the steering "effort" is about right.

Thoughts on the caster issue?

Thanks,

Mike

Not an issue.

It drives good and tracks good. Leave it alone.
