Push Bar off 98 4Runner

Push Bar off 98 4Runner
Hey guys, I assume a Push Bar off a 1998 Toyota 4 Runner would fit a 96? Supposedly it is an original toyota Guard. I think I read somewhere that they were only labeled as Toyota's guard but made by one of the other manufacturers.
I know some of you insist on the ARBs or TJMs but I don't have the $$$ right now and this guard is going very very cheap.!
Hopefully someone knows if this will fit... Maybe TOR as I noticed he was a Toyota Parts Dealer.
