are the lead cones that hold the front hub assembly on reusable?

are the little lead cone washers that hold the front hub assembly on reusable or do i need to get new ones when i pull it apart to change the rotors?

Reusable, but they aren't lead.

Sure they are...as long as you keep track of them as they pop off.

When I put on my mile marker hubs, I took the advise of several members: don't take the nut all the way off when you are hitting the hub to break the cone washers. I can see why!

That said, I don't see any reason why they should not be re-used.

thats funny. i dont know why i thought they were lead crush cones. it has been about 9 years since i've done one though. maybe they were just metal cone shaped gizmos. either way, i'll take your advice and not remove the nuts the whole way before i smack the thing with a hammer.

definetly re-useable. Just sometimes can be a pita to get em off. Patience.
