Yes. There have been some problems. A couple threads I've contributed to on the subject.

That is one of the reasons I plan on going with AOR bumpers when I can cough up the cash.

well hopefully mine works out to not be a pain... i can deal with a little bit of banging or whatnot.

most of the problems came when they had body lifts though too

Get yourself a good rat tail file and that will help if the holes are just a little to one side. Also, make sure you use the right hardware and use washers if you need too.

Good luck with your order - I ordered mine over 8 weeks ago and they still haven't shipped the damn thing. Called twice now and they always say "Should be shipping this week". Just about given up on ever receiving the thing. Might just call em and cancel and order a different front bumper.

Wouldn't be such a big deal if my OEM bumper hadn't been damaged in an accident, so I need a bumper to replace that with.

Mine was a pain to get installed, ended up welding it on the 4runner when I swapped the bumper from the truck.

I'll buy bumpers from AOR next time I need some.

Yeah, just hang in there with it. In all it's a good bumper and a very good start. I mentioned in the first thread I linked, that Sonoran Steel pretty much gave up on bumpers that are'nt built on the truck because there are just too many individual differences out there. You'll get it on there. Just be prepared for some "adjusting". I think the rat tail file suggestion is a good one. Good luck.

What kind of turn time does Marlin have right now? Someone mentioned they ordered theirs 8 weeks ago and still didn't have it yet. Just letting you know you can get one quicker since you need it faster.

Now why in the hell didn't you tell me that a year ago when I bought mine from MC???? I swear you just want to keep your Big Blue Runner up on a pedestal looking down on mine.

All joking aside the AOR bumpers are bad ass. If I'd have known that the MC rear wasn't rated for pulling a trailer I'd have one of Scotty's on there instead.

Scotty I'm about halfway there on the price for the rear with a swing out that you quoted me. The problem is being able to get the rig to you for a few days for the install. Keep me in mind bro, I'll be sporting a AOR swing out rear in a month or so if I can plan a road trip around my fishing schedule.
