brake indicator light...00 tacoma 4wd
hi all,
00 tacoma with a brake indicator light on...what could be the culprit?
brake fluid is to the max mark in the reservoir...parking brake is off of course.
-could it be the reservoir lid/cap???? any help is greatly appreciated

Brake problem
I know this sounds stupid but your e-brake is all the way in isn't it? You woldn't believe how many people come in and that is the only issue. Now I don't know about Tacos but my first and second 4-runner do this sometimes with no explanation what so ever. My 91 started this and then eventually just stayed on. The 97 does it on and off. If you are really worried about, bring it up on our drive and ask for Jordan Saba. Tell him Todd Packer sent you.

todd, wow...toyota of richardson is where i bought the brake fluid...wondered if i've seen ya...
yeah i am positive the e-brake is fully released...i checked many many many times...the thing is the light has been on for the last 15k miles...has not gone off and on at all...just stayed on, i might just bring it up there to richardson.

The switch is pretty picky.
