I had to change out the #1 injector the other day
i have a 92 toyota 22re 4x4. i had to change out the #1 injector the other day. got it all back to gether took it for a test drive and all worked good untell i got home and saw that i had gas coming out of one of my injectors. so i took it back apart. fixed the gas leak. took it on another test drive.... ? got to the stop sign at the bottom of my road. when i started to go it just DIED. i had 1/2 tank of gas. whats wrong ????? it will idel fine and run fine untell you put it under a load. then it will just die. you can crank it back up, but as soon as you try to move it it will quit! help me please!!!

Help i need my truck back!!!!!
ANYONE OUT THERE????????????? ive checked my spark pulgs, the intake gaskets are new, they are pluged up right. could it be an injector? it idel's just like it should. so i dont thank it can be the injetors??? I NEED HELP!!!!

Start with the simple things first, replace the fuel filter and see if that makes a diference, if not then check the fuel presure by cracking the hard line going to the cold injector, and see if you have good presure. A fuel pump can go bad and still work enough to let the engine idle but not deliver enough fuel when you get on the throttle, and that will cause the bog down or just die.

Im not sure, but i think if the coil was bad it would run real ruff or have a bad miss or something like that. you might try testing it and the ignitor to see if they are in spec according to the FSM.

Thats the EGR, and there should be a gasket between the two. I think i see another problem in the picture, on the thermostat housing there is a temperature sending unit and on yours in the picture the wire is missing, try fixing that and see if it helps.

Thanks man i got it. Not sure what i did but its fixed! Lol no i thank is had some thing to do with the "efi" relay under the hood i played around with it and hey know it runs fine!!!! Thanks!!! What where you saying about the hose i had missing? Where is it? Lol and where does it go? Thanks!
