I just bought a 97 4Runner with 170k miles. I know almost nothing about car engines. Any recommendations on what I should have checked out/replaced (besides oil change)?

Do you have any knowledge about it's previous maintenance history? Timing belt?

Things I'd do right away would be...
Clean MAF sensor and throttle body.
Drain & flush radiator.
Change transmission and f/r differential oil.
Check brake fluid for cleanliness. If it looks hazy/dirty, drain & flush it.
Re-grease all the zerk fittings.
Replace 02 sensor(s).
