TPS and Timing help?
#1
I was doing my timing on my 95 3vze and noticed that when I removed the jumpers from Te1 and e1 that my timing would not retard 2 degrees like it should and is running better at 15-18 BTDC than at 10, and noticed it was a little jumpy. so I proceeded to check up on the TPS. It does everything it should but when I measured IDL-E2 I got infinate above zero mm, I adjusted. should I get continuity below .8mm open throttle and infinate at and above .8mm open? I adjusted it CCW a few degrees and had to close the idle screw to compensate for a high idle.

never mind my post. i'm an idiot, forgot vac line P when i put the TB back on. runs great with the TPS adjusted and timing retards like it should idle is right but still doesn't change when jumped, but timing does. anyways... i'm still interested in hearing opinions on my timing being 15 BTDC when jumped. seems odd that it runs better at that.

You might as well have written this in a foreign language...
