New to all this and saw a write up with pics about replacing the rear axle seal at the 3rd member and want to find it. Looked for hrs now cant find it. Need the link thanx, John.

 

The oil seals for the axle are on the ends not buy the differential. Maybe you are referring to the oil seal on the diff?

Its not hard to replace the rear axle seals, you need th unhook the emergency brake cablen unscrew the brake line, and remove the four nuts that hold the brake backing plate/brake assembly on the axle and then pull, the axle shaft and brake assembly will pull out, and you will be able to see the seal. it sounds harder than it is.
