85 22RE MSD Ignition

Are the NGK plugs still the best or is there something new I should be using?
I would like to change to MSD ignition but is it worth the money?

There is really no need to change the stock ignition system over to MSD, the stock ignition system on a 22RE is actually a good set up, with the only expensive part being the ignitor it self. I you want to upgrade the stock ignition then get a higher output coil and some good quality wires. For spark plugs use NGK or Denso, they seem to work the best. In my opinion the only time you really need to up grade the ignition system is if you have a built motor and are looking to get everything out of it.

x2, I had a Crane HI-6s on mine and the truck actually ran BETTER with the OEM ignition.

I'm using a Crane Fireball coil and Accel 8mm wires with NGK plugs.
