What type of Grease to use?

Is it Ok to use Lucas Extra Heavy Grease on the 85' front knuckles and all the zirk fittings?

i use Valvoline DuraBlend from wheel bearing grease to ball joint, then i also use the DuraBlend gear oil. Good Stuff......

Use a high temp high quality bearing grease found at your local auto parts store.

Thanks for the information guys! It was weird passenger side knuckle seemed empty and driver side was full!!!! Hope nothing is wrong but I just bought the truck and I am starting from the ground up going through it!

sounds like someone didnt pack the knuckle or thr outer seal is gone

FSM calls for moly fortified grease in the knuckles. I use Amsoil synthetic and Valvoline also makes a good synthetic moly-fortified.
