Our Yotas (past and present)

Hello all, just thought I'd share with you some of mine and my dad's yotas, both past and present. i'll try to get new/more pics of the following ones, as well as some of the others we've had. this site is part of the inspiration behind some of the stuff done to these rigs. hope you enjoy!

First off, my newly-acquired 95 4Runner, 3.0 5spd. This shot is on Daytona Beach, where me and my buddies left Raleigh, NC to spend spring break there. This 2500 mile trip came less than a week after buying the Runner, and swapping its locked-up 200,000 mile motor with another 200,000 mile motor. Now that's taking a chance!

I also had the privilege of tripping to odo to 200k the day we returned to Raleigh:

This is what I traded in for the 95, she was alot of fun. 87 Runner.

The 87 came after my 93 3.0 Pickup, which my dad took over. It is now sold.

Now for the play toys. First is our 89 3.0 Pickup. Dad and I did the SAS swap the first Christmas I was home from college. Most of the other tubing work was done by a guy we know near our home. We also had a 5 spd swapped in (BIG IMPROVEMENT). I don't drive it too much, but it will run 75 on the freeway all day long, gets 15 mpg, and will still tackle any trail and get you back home. This truck will never be sold.

Note: we don't run those wheels and tires on it anymore. The next truck became our fulltime rock buggy, so this one got a set of 35 BFG Mud Terrains. MUCH better on the road.

Below is our 82 rock truck. Its spooled in the rear, has an ARB in the front, and runs on propane. Also has dual T-cases. This thing is an absolute ball. Dad and I don't get many chances to go wheel it (Tellico, Uwharrie, Callalente, Harlan), but when we do its a blast. Hopefully when school winds down we can go more often. This, too, will never be sold.

And just cause I thought you guys might like it, a pic of the North Carolina State University Wolfpack baja car. We hand built everything except the motor, shocks, and wheels/tires, and take it to 2-3 races a year. A new car is built every year. This thing is also a blast to drive, but its alot of work.

Annnd a pic of my go-fast toy. 2006 Honda 599. Also got an 03 CRF450 for some off-road two wheel fun, but hardly ever get a chance to ride it.

Okay, so maybe the last three aren't yotas, but they still have wheels and a motor!!!

hope yall enjoyed!

I'd love to post up some "past and present" pics of my Yotas but all the ones I've owned in the past I'm still presently driving.

Nice looking vehicles by the way.

The 82 is definitely my favorite, nice truck! Now let's see a pic of your shop, cause that's more important than the trucks. This sport wouldn't exist without our shops!

Ask an ye shall receive! These are all from a trip to Tellico a while back. The red truck is my cousin's that is very similar to ours. I think it averages out to be about an 85 I believe it started life as a 2WD, or at least the cab or motor came out of one. Either way its equally badass.

I don't have any pics that aren't from the trail so you can really see the whole truck, but I guess that's a good thing, right?

The feller in the passenger seat is my dad. He is Toyota crazy like me. Hope yall enjoy! Ask you want any other pictures.

why did you need a winch for that hill? Doesn't look that bad. Maybe something I'm not seeing...
