looking for a SKID PLATE

im looking for a good but reasonably priced skid plate for the front of my yota, it has a 3 " suspension lift, its an 86, wondering if ne one had one for sell or knows where to get one for cheap, im a poor college student so i dont have much money

$309 plus shipping is a bit excessive don't you think?

Why not just go to a scrapyard and get some diamond plate and rig one up yourself?

thats what i was thinking, like i said i dont have 300 bucks to spend on a skid plate, and i dont do much rock climbing or anything, so ill most likely end up doing that.

craigs list or ebay you might find some one getting rid of one...

Sure you can make it if you have all the tools and whatnot. If not you can pay to get one fab'd...

I'd say make it yourself you can do it with an angle grinder, a drill, and a hammer without too much trouble.

whatever's available I made some skids out of 1/8in steel sheet and they worked pretty good, I beat em to hell and doing it again now I'm gonna go with 3/16in I think.

Just get under there and start measuring. just take your time so when you finish it bolts right in
