Point me in the direction of a Desert racing/ high speed long travel forum

I am going to be doing a Total Chaos long travel kit to my girlfriends 99 4runner and need to do a lil more research before i decide which shocks to go with and the best rearend set up. I have searched this site and found lil on what i need. I want to find a TOYOTA based desert running/ long travel site like YOTATECH only different.

Here is a pic of the RUNNER... its a lil snowy out but you get the point

here is a non-snowy pic

TTORA has a lot of desert guys, search for a build thread by "Chaplain" for the pure sexay 3rd gen long travel rear suspension setup.

Here's a read on a top notch rear end build. This is by the previously mentioned "Chaplain". https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...runner-132149/

why do a long travel to your girl friends rig? That is a lot of money, its like throwing 2 grand into something that you cannot drive that much. Well i am a stingy so it won't get it. I just help people in other ways by giving my time or skills.

were doin a long travel rig because we have my sas truck for muddin technical rock crawlin and what not. and we visit the oregon dunes almost monthly so her 4runner will see lots of use and abuse. long travel-dunes just makes sense. wwe rally the piss out of her rig on the dunes and this is just gonna make it easier on the runner,

I think he meant he can't drive it that much because it's his gf's 4runner. Another good site is http://dezertrangers.com/ , they focus on rangers but there are some nice toyotas on there too

Dude - just a warning ... keep personal and financial junk separate. IF things don't work out, do you realy want her driving away with a couple grand worth of your money bolted on her rig?
