Check out a place called Valley of Fire. I think it is about an hour or so north of Vegas. Some of the guys from Project-JK hit it up about a month or so ago.

Here is a link to their video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m21N9Kn0CU

How far are you willing to drive. Calico is about 2-2 1/2 hours south of Vegas and Johnson Valley is about an hour further (because you have to go around Barstow unless you get off at Outlet Center Drive in Lenwood) Both are really good for wheelin.

also check out red rock canyon theres a pretty good trail in there. its fairly easy (joes toy made it in 2wd) up until it starts getting rocky (he got stuck) then it started gettin pretty good, then about 2 miles further saw a trail and a broken oil pan... lol. (not one of ours). i remember you go into the red rock canyon scenic drive, and near the end theres a turnoff for the 4x4 trail. ask joestoy, im sure he'd be down to go with ya. i would, but i moved back to cali. (for the time being...)
