Thanks Ducky!

The only suggestion I'd make is to purposely reduce the number of forums so that folks don't stat using the chapter site instead of YotaTech.

Ducky,

AWESOME! I've got a couple of suggestions just after a quick glance, and will give you more later. 1) It looks great.
2) I'll track down the club charter I wrote ages ago, modify it, and send it to you for the site.

ok looked at it. and have a few suggestions/comments.

1. i think it would be nice if it wouldn't pop up as a new window. i don't know if thats just me.

2. Definetly narrow down the # of forums. I think all we need would be Trip planning one, off topic, and general?

3. Um yeah this is just the comment.... I think its now time to have everybody reregister to be part of the club, or should we wait till the site is fully up and running? could you just make a page on the site for people to sign up as a WA 4ROC member? maybe once we do that we could just send out an email annoucement about the launch of the site and how everybody needs to reregister and get a final count on the stickers.

4. Oh yeah and maybe make it so that you can veiw the forum as a guest? every once and a while i like to show my friends certain threads. plus i think its kind of discurraging for new people to be faced with join or don't look kinda thing. maybe make it a like yotatech somehow where you never have to sign in if you don't want to?

ok i think i've talked more than enough once again!! so i'll stop!

I think its a great start! I agree, I think the number of forums should be smaller, but at the same time I think the ones there are perfect. Haha. Nice start though. Peace.

...?

Got a question, right now I have the member list going to the forum members page, which lists the ppl currently signed up to the forums...

gives good info, and you have to be a member to view who is a member, for good reason.... I dont want to get emails from ppl who got my email addy from a site...

so heres the question... should I make a seprate DB of members? or keep it the way it is...

BTW, I cut down the forums, made it public (no sign in required to view) and made the forums open in the same window...

Do we want to make registering for the website the same as registering to be a member of 4ROC? We've talked about having everyone re-register once the website was up, and it seems to be redundant to register to get on the site, then register again to part of the club. If in the terms and conditions, it lays out that by registering for the site you will become a member of 4ROC? People who don't want to join the club can still browse the forums and such after the changes that you just made.

Ok I made some changes to the links and added register, which is the same as registering in the forum...

so go check it out and see if that works... I like it cuz its simple, and I dont have to make another DB.. lol

Ok... lol... so I hammered out a simple DB, so from the main site you can register as a member, and also see who signed up... will that work? go see... I still need to pretty it up alittle bit, like the giant white "success" page... but function precedes form..

or something like that.

Ducky,

Its a bit confusing, I'd still argue that we set up the main registration page to become a member of 4ROC- that's where all the details end up with what mods we did, etc. People who don't want to register to be a member of 4ROC would still be allowed to browse the boards, but just not post.

No one is more confused than I am right now... lol...

OK.. to clarify... right now... from the main site.....

There is a new signup form under "register" to become a member...

also the link for members has change to show results of the ppl who have signed up...

this is all seprate from the forums...

Clarified? I hope so... =)

What?
Where?
How?

I think whats confusing is members of 4ROC, and registered members of the website? If I go in the forums section and look at members, I see about 10 of us, but if I go into members from the home page, I just see you.

The members list under the forums... is ppl who signed up to use the forums...

ppl under the memberlist on the main site.. are ppl who want to sign up as members of WA4roc...

so yea.. if ppl want to be members of wa4roc, they sign up on the main site... if they want to post on the forums they will have to sign up for that too seprately... (2 different databases)

you only see me, because Im the only one who has signed up... on the webpage.

Ahh the logistics of clubs... lol...

Before you get all comfy...

I forgot to add mods.. and rather since you all prolley want that under members... i better fix it before you all sign up... and I get stuck with what we have...

so if you click on signup, and it doesnt work... wait.. ill have it up in 10 min or so...

so Mark.... sorry you will have to sign up again....
