I am about to replace my 3rd power steering pump and am leaning towards a toyota mini truck pump. The fj60 pump just doesn't seem to pack the punch. Has anyone tried this swap. what is your experience? the pro's and cons? special mods needed? year of pump? thank you endless pool of knowledge!

 

I don't think you'll find any difference. As far as I know the only difference is the pump body fittings and threads. If anything a mini pump would be weaker because its a lighter truck. I would look at some other problem if you are eating pumps. Whats the symptom?
