I have a very icky looking chrome grille guard. I was thinking of getting it off the bumper (that's challenge one) and then getting it painted matte black or powdercoated or something (challenge two.) How feasible is this?

Can anyone tell I'm a paint newbie? First the dumb question about the driver door and then this.

instead of wasting your money trying to fix up the grill, you should just sell it and get a steel bumper. Then you won't be a newbie
