Well it finally happened. Went mudding over the weekend, and was visiting a friend on my college campus, left the 4runner in the parking deck for 2 hours (while it is still covered in mud). ... well, needless to say i got up bright and early this morning, washed it, put a little wax on, had it lookin spiffy. but everything is still there clear as day... its been scratched into the paint. So what to do? should I go get some NuFinish and really try to buff it out. Or should I make an emergency call to the parents, and beg for $200 ish for a good detail shop?

did the parking deck have security cameras? maybe you can get a vid of the sob's
try it your self first. is it in the clearcoat or the paint itself, i wouldn't use the nufinish crap. get some rubbing compound and do it by hand. and then wax afterward

yah campus police got a vid of 6 guys in baggey clothes meandering towards the truck, but they didnt actually get a shot of them doing aanything, and no one could see their faces.. im just glad they didnt steal anything
I cant really tell if it goes all the way to the paint, im pretty sure its in the clearcoat, cause it looks like it was done with their fingers... im gonna run down to auto store here in a bit and see what I can cook up as far as solutions
