I won caught dead there. EVERY (and I mean EVERY) available LEO in the state of Utah is in Moab looking for revenue those three weeks.

Make sure you have mudflaps, fender coverage, a good muffler, operational lights (and spare bulbs) before you even get NEAR Moab the week before through the week after EJS.

Moab is awesome, but I MUCH prefer to go offseason.

I'm going to be there the 3rd - 7th and maybe head back the next weekend with the Taco. Only have until March 3rd to get your registration in for the trail raffle if you wanted to go on an official run. There is only going to be the Friday that you can run Gold Bar, Poison Spider, Golden Spike or Rusty Nail that won't be closed to only participants.

Sure about Rusty Nail? You're not allowed to run permit-required activity on that trail per the BLM ...

The BLM considers Gold Bar, Golden Spike and Poison Spider parts of the same trail now with the new revisions this year. Last year it was still closed on days they ran Gold Bar or Golden Spike since you have to drive Gold Bar to get to it and Golden Spike to get back unless you reverse it. This year it will be closed when any of the other three trails are run since you can't access it. I was told this by members of the RR4W club that live in Moab. Not sure how much they will care if someone ran it since there is no trail run on Rusty Nail. Probably just depends on if it interfers with the other two. Since you have to have a permit now with any group if it is large enough to run the trails, are you saying they won't issue a permit for Rusty Nail so no groups on Rusty Nail? Although I can't imagine there would be a group of 25 friends that would all be on that trail.

Note that the rule is now 25 PEOPLE not 25 rigs... even medium size groups of friends may require permits now.
