rough Idle after warming up.

Hi, let me start by say how much this place helps me in everyday events. I have a 90 22re that was just rebuilt.
It starts up just fine, runs for about 2 mins. Then it goes
to missing, flooding, and just about stalls. I've checked the timing, valve clearance, and all the vaccume hoses. Everything looks good. Ive took carb cleaner to the intake to check for leaks with no results. Any help....

Have the same year/motor, freshly rebuilt as well, had the same problem. Went with all Engnbldr parts, including oversized valves, 20 over bore, 268 cam, upgraded exhaust, etc.

After some research, I've learned that similar setups simply don't like the ~750rpm idle that came stock. Turned mine up to 900 and it smoothed right out after warm up. Cold start is a bit high, but what can you do? Might want to give it a shot...

No, I've crossed it over at the diag. and not codes as of yet, I pulled the water temp. sensor plug and the one next to it and nothing, but I also pulled the tps and it idled up
and started to surge somewhat better running, maybe that's my problem. any info on
how to check that.

hey, I've found the problem. It was the EGR valve, just took the vaccume off and it idled just right....Thanks for all the help.
