anyone know? I took the sunroof assembly out of my truck and cleaned off the screws, but I need to clean out the tracks that the glass slides in as well.

Any tips?

That is what I was working on in my last post. I have not taken it apart again, but it looked like you would need to remove the cable tubes that are spot welded to the frame.
Did you take just the glass out, or the whole assembly out?

There are little notches in the track where the cables are exposed, two on each side. I was thinking of starting there with the silicone lubricant.

Yea... I need to actually get in and clean mine. I went though a mud whole last summer with my sunroof open. Mud/water/grime went up over the roof and into the cab. Got all over me and my passenger, the seats, the armrest, etc.. It also found it's way into the tracks and gummed everything up. If the rain ever stops, I might pull it apart again and see if I can work the nozzle of a can of compressed air in there and break up some of the gunk. I can hear the grit grinding in the tracks when the motor tries to push the glass open.

Mudroof

I saw the pics on your website of your MUDROOF...and the dialogue...

"Aren't you going to close the moonroof?"

"Nah, if mud gets up that high it will be cool!"

"HOLY SH#$&#*$#!!!!" Mud splattering sounds inside the cab...

I bet you don't ride with your MUDROOF open anymore! Those pics spoke more than a thousand words...I just wish you had some of the look on your face, or perhaps the mud on your face, when that happened...

hehe... I was laughing my ass off after it happened, and so was everyone else in the group. Not much you can do but laugh when something like that happens.

And no, I don't wheel with my sunroof open any more, but not because I learned anything from the experience but rather because since then the sunroof has been stuck shut. That's why I need to get at the tracks to clean them out.

If it was working, I would still wheel with it open, just close it before going though a mudhole.
