So begins the sob story. My 2001 Taco v6 TRD xtra cab 4wd quit working so I took it in and was told the 4wd accuator was non functional. I paid $1200 to get it fixed and still no 4wd. I suspect that it is the 4wd ECU. Any help on 1 locating it. 2 Testing it. 3. Where is a good place to find one cheap if it needs to be replaced. I am a DIY kind of person when I can. Any help would be appreciated

the 4wd ecu is located on the drivers side behind the kick panel. the engine ecu is behind the glove box.
