Low-Tech Low hassle PS fluid change

My power steering has always been a little noisy and has gotten increasingly noiser for the last year. About 6 months ago I was fooling around in my Dads garage and used the Mity-vac to remove as much fluid from the resevoir as I could. About 1/2 standard Mason jar. Started vehicle turned lock to lock--much improved! Repeated process 3 times-absolutely no noise even turned hard to the locks at idle. Now six months later and still no noise. I used valvoline semi-synth to replace it. No big deal, I was just thinking about it and thought I would share

A handy-dandy turkey comes in handy also. My wife is a nurse and she can get hold of a 100cc syringes (needles removed of course!). Now thats cheap and handy.
