Another 4Runner for my dad!

Dad's been looking for another Yota for the winter and we found it. Makes it his 5th 4Runner. He's had an 88 SR5, 87 SR5, 94 SR5, 93 SR5, And this 94. I was hoping it was gonna be another 84-89 this time. I love those trucks. Really excited about this one. Especially cause it has the tow package. =D

Here it goes. 94 4Runner SR5 3.0 Auto 180k. Black with tan interior. Pretty clean truck. Only some rust bubbles on the the rear wheelwells. Slipping tranny. Doesnt go into 4th gear. Pops and I are convinced that the tranny filter is clogged. On his old 94 while driving to FL the tranny was acting up. Did a service when we got to FL. Washed the filter out and put some new fliud in. The clogged filter prevented the upshift. We're hoping its that easy.

Just a few fail shots for now. Will update tommorrow.

Got the plates for it yesterday. Took it out for the first time on the road last night. Pulls hard. I forgot how slow the 3.0s are. I was driving my aunt's 98 3.4 4Runner on Saturday so I still had that in my system.

A few problems with the truck is, the front end is all over the place. Pulls right. Front tires are worn weird. Some new tires are gonna be installed this week. Gonna take it to school tommorrow and check the ball joints and front end out. Maybe pull the wheel off to check the brakes. I hear them squeeking now and then. The truck also pulls a bit when you step on the brakes. At 40=mph you have to keep both hands on the wheel before it pulls itself into the other lane.

I'm pretty happy about the truck. I'm having the body shop wash and buff the whole truck down Friday. There is some rust on top of the wheel wells in the rear my dad and I are gonna have to cut and replace. Looking forward to it.
