interesting that they have now added the 01-04 to this big thing. it was already in affect for earlier model tacomas. good thing where i live there is no rust, and my frame is reinforced in all sorts of silly places

if anybody who lives in a bad area is looking to reinforce their frame in the weakspot (where it becomes a C-channel instead of box) i would recomend the Demello offroad frame reinforcements, i put them on my frame some time ago and they immediately helped with frame flex and frame/axle wrap as well as added durability

No, you don't have to be the original owner. I like that they're going to fix the frames. I don't like the new Taco's and would rather keep my truck.

ARB - I'd guess all of the New England states and Mid Western states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, etc.

Just so everyone knows, only those in the Mid West and NE need to go in to the dealership by October of 2010. All of the other 30 states do not need to go in to extend the warranty.

What you should do if you are concerned is call your local dealership and ask them to run your vin#. Also if your truck falls under this you will get a letter from Toyota. I will see if my wife can get more info since she is a Toyota Service writer. I showed my wife this post and it's the first she has heard of it. She has been on vacation so she will look into it once she gets back to work.
