3vze: Shim stuck to bucket

Ok, so how do you get the shim off the bucket? I got the valve held down and I can spin the shim around, but it won't come off. The bucket only has 2 slots in it, not 4 like in the FSM. So I have no way to try and pry the shim up. Even a magnet will not get it up.

How do I get the shim out?

There's a linky to the FSM for '93 truck at the top of the forum. If I'm not mistaken, it takes an SST....

Used compressed air! Put the nozzle right against the notch in the bucket and stand back. Just be carefull that the shim does not drop down in the ports of the head when it blows out. Use a rag or paper to block the holes.

Compressed air is brilliant and does the trick. Thanks a bunch.
