Ok so in an earlier thread I posted I picked up a 96 Taco V6 4x4, there is some serious wear on the front tires, both are worn on the inside, Ifigured it was the ball joints but when I jacked it up there was no play that I could tell from side to side and up and down however I did notice that the bottom bushing on the strut might be gone. I stuck a prybar in to move the strut up and down and you could see that there is a lot of movement where the bottom of the strut is bolted in, its sits off center so Im pretty sure its gone just wanted to confirm this.

 

You might check your upper ball joints. If the inner portion of the tires are worn, its from the tires leaning in

 

So you dont think its suspention related

 

The upper ball joint is part of your suspension.

When was the last time you had it aligned?

 

So whats the proper way to check a upper ball joint.
