body lift questions...

i have a 93 pickup and when i bought it, it already had a 3in bodylift, im planning on taking it off, what my question is when the 3in bodylift was put on it looks like the 3in pucks where stacked on the factory bushings, does this sound correct??if thats the case i can just take the pucks off and drop it down on the bushings? and cut the excess bolt end off? sorry to sound newbish but im no bodylift guru as i do not like bodylifts! thanks guys...

You are correct about the pucks, thats all a body lift is, they just throw rubber pucks on.

I dont know about the removing part tho.

But im sure someone else on here will help you out.

You will need the stock sized bolts. You will probibly have to remove:

Steering extension
possibly the firewall plate that the steering shaft passes through
obviously front bumper brackets
any shifter extensions
bed spacers (if they were installed)
And rad drop brackets if they were installed.

Don't forget to check the fuel tank filler hose and brake lines. These could possibly have been extended.

Usually the brake and clutch lines are long enough to avoid replacing. But the fuel filler neck is an iffy area.

good idea, check that out!
