egr valve cleaning
I was reading a post on toyotanation, and one user said he cleaned his egr modulator filter. He did this because he was having idling problems and performance issues. He said after cleaning it he gained performance and efficiency. i think he was exaggerating.
anyway, so im cleaning my air filter today, and i also figured I'd remove the egr modulator and check about this filter. so I popped it off and I see the quarter-sized filter the guy was talking about. I don't see any way to clean it. mine's all brown.
so my question is: cant you clean/replace the egr filter? is there any cleaning maintenance that would be good now that i have the egr out?

That's the EGR valve. I mistyped the title. It should be the EGR modulator.
I did clean my egr valve when I did the head job. The EGR modulator is the plastic round bit with the vacuum hoses connected to it.

gotta be careful.
Obama's gonna be cracking down on people.
forget the fact that there is proof that high levels of nitrogen in the atmosphere helps plants reduce carbon dioxide....
You don't get to have both- high NOx and low CO2.
