bolt on rock sliders for a 4runner that do not break the bank
i went on a run with a few guys from this forum the other day and one of them had some really nice bolt on sliders for his tacoma that he said were only $250.
i cant find anything that cheap nor can i find any bolt ons for a '96 4runner.
anyone have adivise or can point me in the right direction? and yes, for the forum trolls, ive searched! lol
thank you

Most fabricators do not offer bolt on for a reason...they are a PITA as well as cost and easy install prohibitive.
Lots of places sell bolt on...they call them nerf bars.

hey i got bolt on ones... first rock that said hi to them put a big dent in them and almost made them unusable, not to mention almost ripped them off my frame. (nerfs). get the weld on, theyre MUCH better

Get the Trail Gear ones and buy the gusset plates, from the looks of the web site it looks like those can be welded to the legs of the sliders and then bolted to the frame...I think Mt. Goat did something like that on his truck...maybe he will chime in and correct me if I am wrong.

The bolts and nuts to go throught the frame itself will suck your wallet dry for the cost welding is gonna be cheaper and for the piece of mind knowing that they will be there after a few rocks say hello to them welding is the only way to go.

i think those are the exact the type he had. CBI has a junky web site though. i guess ill contact them for pricing.
is this style called "clamp on"? i think ive worded my post wrong, because this is exactly the type id like to get. looks like the clamp holds it on strong and a limited amount of self taping bolts are needed to secure it.

I'd just hope welded sliders don't interfere with anything you might need to fix underneath thus having the option of removal is nice for that reason or resale and I know more than a few off roaders that have bolt-ons and I've never heard of them giving out.
