How to indentify the type of transmission ?

I have a 91 Toyota pickup 4x4 with 5 speed. I am in the process of replacing the clutch, and figured while I have the transmission down I want to replace the input shaft seal. What type of trans. do I have ?

When looking for a replacement seal, they ask if I have a WM trans, or GM trans., or RM trans.

I want to replace the front seal of the pinion on the transmision.

W56, assuming your truck came from the factory with manual hubs and no-ADD.

You can also check the door jamb on the drivers side, it will have an information plate/sticker that will tell you codes for your Axles, Trans, Exterior Color, and Interior color

I didn't know about the transmission info on the plate, I have the W56 according to the plate, Thankyou for the info.

Is the input shaft seal the correct term , I want to replace the seal on the transmission front pinion that goes into the clutch ?
