need a pick up tube for canada fuel tank

Yup, project sport is on hold yet again. This is my problem, since the swap of my 90 sport 22r 2wd onto the 89 4x4 22re frame, i used the tank off the 89 frame. That tank was set up for efi, it ran for a bit untill the carb got gumed up, i had to replace the tank b/c is was not repairable, the liner was bad.

So, i orderd a tank for a 1987 4x4 yota 22r (canada models). The tank is same size, bolt holes same place, same 17gal tank, it's set up for carb. 22r which is what my motor is. MY BIG PROBLEM is; i cant not find any one who sale's the pickup tubes. I can find efi pick ups. I can find strainers for the carb model tanks, but not the tank pick-up it self.

Guys, please point me in the right direction. I know there is somewhere you can get them...

dude, I hate to break it to ya, but I just had the same thing happen to me. They are no longer manufactured, your only hope is to find one at a junkyard or get real creative. A mechanic I know custom made one for me.

PM DeathCougar. He works at a Toyota/Lexas yard. Real knowlegable(sp?) and fast service. I ordered a set of locking hubs, and had them at my doors in like 3 days.
