so when i turn the key absolutely nothing happens. no dash lights no clock nothing. It had a bad battery so i thought this was it, but i put in a brand new battery and same response. The headlights will turn on tho, so i basically have a $3000 lamp.....

 

start checking fuses, grounds, wiring around battery, and the ignition switch.

 

Efi fuse....?
As said above...fuses grounds...
