Moderate trail a couple hours from Portland, OR

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the Portland area and haven't had a chance to get out wheelin yet. My girlfriend and I are going camping this weekend and would like to find a moderate trail a few hours from Portland with some fun wheeling and good camping spots (senic views are nice too).

Any input on where to go? We'll only have one rig, so nothing too hardcore, but definitely want some that will be some fun. Thanks!

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. Since you are from Washington, could you offer up some useable advice about the original question and help a fellow yotatecher out? do you know any good trails in the SW Wash area?

I do not know of any further South from me, but a guy named Bernd on the big FJ Cruiser forum I am a member of has a local 4WD club, and they often do runs both in North Oregon and Southern Washington.

Here is his site.

If you get a hold of him, tell him Corey sent ya.
He is a member here too I think.
