There is a recall for 4runners 1990-1995, pickup 1989-1995 and t100 1993-1998
2wd or 4wd.

it says on the letter: there is a possibility that a fatigue crack may develop in the steering center link. This fatigue crack may develop if the steering wheel is repeatedly turned under certain conditions where high steering effort is required, such as fully turning the steering wheel while the vehicle is not in motion. this may result in a loss of vehicle steering control.

Any Toyota dealership will replace the steering center link at NO COST TO YOU.

 

Is this the steering relay rod recall or a new one?

 

You guys DO see the gazillion page thread stickied at the top of this section, right?

 

Don't say you "guys." I am perfectly aware of the other thread and have that recall done already. I was just asking if this is something new. If he said no, then I would direct him to that one.

 

well i just got in on the mail monday and this is the main rod the pitman and idle arm connects to and the inner tie rod ends
