Ball Joint and LF drive shaft

Well, my ball joint gave out on me, 6 miles back on a forest road. The front drive shaft pulled out and spun the inner boot up too and I ended up cutting it off. The parts guy talked me into spending 70 dollars on a new shaft instead of 30 on a boot. What I need to know is how to go about replacing this ball joint and drive shaft in the middle of the woods, on a slight incline. What tools are absolutely needed? I looked for a write up, couldn't find one.

I would rent the ball joint tool at autozone, to get your old one out and new one in.

Whatever the sockets are for the bj and the lower bj mount, and a big breaker bar.

35mm socket for the hub

Prybar to get the cv out.

Blue loctite for lower bj mount

I think I will bring a small torch to heat the nuts up a bit.

This job went very well, easier than I thought it would be. Saved several hundred dollars by doing it myself.
