No sound from stereo after install

Can someone help me. I have a 2002 4Runner.

I just removed my Nakamichi head unit and reinstalled my old stock unit. When I turned the unit on, I dont get any sound.

I remember the audio tech who installed the Nakamichi saying that he disabled and removed the stock amp.

When I reistalled the stock head, I also put the amp back in and plugged in the harnesses.

Did I miss a step because I'm not getting any sound. I can see that the stereo is on or when I insert a cd, I can see that it's being read.

I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Alex

Check the amp fuses and make sure you have the outputs from the head unit into the correct inputs on the amp. Also check to make sure you have the output level turned up on the amp.

Odds are, it isn't getting power or it's not being grounded properly. The other option is that he rewired the speakers with leads that aren't linked back to your amp.

Those things are externally grounded. You need to hook up the antenna, and make sure its screwed into the dash first, then you will get sound.
